Our industry-recognised BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying is designed to align your skills to the educational requirements of the industry’s professional bodies. It provides a rigorous understanding of the principles and practice involved in quantity surveying.

Entry requirements
You should have 96 UCAS tariff points (for example, three HKDSEs at Grade 4). You can check your tariff points online at http://ucas.com/tariff
Applicants with one of the following qualifications are also eligible for entry:
➜ Associate Degree
➜ Higher Diploma
➜ Professional Diploma
English and maths entry requirement
All applicants are required to demonstrate their English and maths proficiency. The following qualifications fulfil our entry requirements:
➜ An English proficiency of 5.5 (with at least 5.5 in the reading and writing modules) in the Academic IELTS test and a relevant maths qualification as listed below.
➜ A cognate sub-degree (Level 5) qualification taught and assessed in English from the University of Hong Kong or City University of Hong Kong and a relevant maths qualification as listed below;
or
➜ HKDSE Grade 3 or above in English Language and grade 2 or above in maths;
or
➜ HKCEE Grades A-D or 5*-3 in English (syllabus B only) and Grades A-E or 5*-3 in maths;
or
➜ HKALE Grade E or above in English (advanced and advanced supplementary levels); and D or above in maths (advanced level).
Accreditation
Graduates of our BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying can apply for the Probationer Membership of the following professional bodies:
- The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS)
- Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE)
- The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)
- Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers, Limited (HKICM)
- Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES)
Expected workload and contact hours
15-20 hours a week for 42 weeks per annum.
