- Meet our MBA Programme Leader, Associate Professor Claire Hookham
Dr Claire Hookham is an Associate Professor and MBA Programme Leader at University of the Built Environment. She has led MBA programmes across five universities, developing international partnerships spanning five countries, and brings extensive experience in Hong Kong, where she has worked alongside the British Council and HKCAAVQ. Claire has a strong track record in academic leadership, management consultancy, and the design of creative and playful approaches to learning, teaching and assessment within Business Schools. She serves as a Council Member for the British Academy of Management and is professionally qualified as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Certified Management and Business Educator at the Chartered Association of Business Schools.
- Director’s talk – Professor Ling Kar-kan, SBS
Professor Ling Kar-kan is a professional town planner. He was the Director of Planning of the HKSAR Government, President of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners, Director of the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, Chairman of the Country and Marine Parks Board and Interim Vice President (Campus and Facilities) and Director of Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation of PolyU. He was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star and InnoStars Award 2021.
He is now the Chairman of the Hong Kong Housing Society and Senior Advisor to the President of PolyU. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Chung Chi College of CUHK and also Adjunct Professor of HKU, CUHK and PolyU.
Professor Ling is also appointed as an expert member of a number of planning and development related consultation committees for Shenzhen, Nansha, Hengqin and Qianhai in the Mainland China.
